This beautiful vertical Kantha mural is created by hand stitch on a raw Tassar silk material. This hand stitched painting depicts a beautiful colored flying birds in green forest and all are stitched with different color of thread to distinguish between. This exclusive wall mount is an excellent piece of handmade Katha stitch embroidery work. The use of several range of lively color can add spark to the prominent foyer wall. The bird motifs on the silk body are deep and dense work of art. The colors of motif are bright pink and brown complimented with greenery all around. This piece can be mounted on the wall vertically upright if you have a tall narrow wall. It is one of a kind and unique handmade artwork.
Background area of the silk is stitched with silk silver thread running kantha stitch.

Kantha is one of the oldest forms of embroidery that originated in India. Kantha is one of the beautiful styles of Indian embroidery, practiced largely in the Bengal. It’s a simple style of running stitch which is used to create the most beautiful, intricate patterns. Contemporary Kantha however uses white cotton or silk as a base fabric. An entire piece of fabric may be covered with running Kantha stitch and in different shapes – creating beautiful motifs of flowers, animals, birds, geometrical shapes as well as themes from everyday activities.
